THE PRESIDENT SAYS
From Innovation to Exports: Building India’s Global Plastics Advantage
Greetings!
India’s plastics industry is entering a phase where opportunity and responsibility
intersect. On one hand, global markets are opening up as supply chains diversify.
On the other, expectations around quality, sustainability, and technological ca-
pability are rising rapidly. To succeed in this evolving landscape, exports and in-
novation can no longer be viewed as separate priorities. They are, in fact, deeply
interconnected.
The global shift toward diversified sourcing presents India with a significant ex-
port opportunity. However, capturing this opportunity requires more than scale
- it requires competitiveness. International markets today demand consistency,
compliance, and credibility.
This is where innovation becomes critical.
Investments in advanced manufacturing, automation, and recycling technologies
are not just operational upgrades; they are strategic enablers of export growth.
Similarly, adopting sustainable practices and aligning with global environmental
standards strengthens India’s position as a preferred sourcing destination.
For MSMEs, access to the right knowledge and tools will be key. Simplified export
frameworks, data-driven market insights, and technology adoption support can
collectively empower businesses to expand beyond domestic boundaries.
At the same time, policy support in infrastructure, logistics, and trade facilitation
will play a crucial role in ensuring that Indian manufacturers remain globally com-
petitive.
In this context, to make India’s position globally; AIPMA’s upcoming 3rd Global
Conclave on Plastics Recycling and Sustainability (GCPRS) from 2nd to 5th July
2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi is not just another industry event - it is a
defining platform for the future of plastics in India. As preparations gain momen-
tum, GCPRS is set to emerge as a powerful convergence of ideas, innovation, and
action. Bringing together global thought leaders, policymakers, technology pro-
viders, and industry stakeholders, the conclave will spotlight cutting-edge recy-
cling solutions, breakthrough technologies, and scalable models that can redefine
how the industry approaches sustainability.
